The Divine Compassion Award is given annually to a staff member, parent or alumni who’s life embraces the schools core values of courage and compassion. Kennedy Catholic was founded by the sisters of Divine Compassion, and they educated generations of people throughout the New York area. The Divine Compassion Medal was created to recognize someone who embodies their spirit of Christian compassion and the love of learning. Olivia was such a person and was awarded the medal at the May 2025 Presidents Dinner.

The Live Like Livy (or the Olivia Katherine Sherry) Scholarship is an annual college scholarship given to a student from Kennedy Catholic Preparatory School intending to major in education. The recipient will exhibit the qualities of dedication, commitment and passion for teaching and community service.
This annual award is given annually to a student from Clemson University in the School of Education that has completed their teacher residency program and about to begin their career as an educator. The recipient will exhibit positivity, integrity, high-character, dedication, commitment and the unique ability to lift others up….all qualities Olivia brought to her students every day. A monetary award is provided from the Live Like Livy Foundation to decorate their classroom, provide books and create a positive and engaging learning environment.

The Olivia’s Light Award is given annually to a first-year teacher in the Anderson School district where Olivia was a teacher-resident and about to begin her full-time teaching career. Olivia made a huge impact on the school and her students in her short time there. The recipient of this award will reflect Olivia’s positive attitude, creativity and dedication to their students and craft. This teacher will demonstrate the ability to motivate students with care, compassion and commitment.

Clemson Athletic Academic Services helps student-athletes develop and reach their personal, academic and professional potential.
Olivia was the youngest and longest serving strategic mentor in the program’s history and was often given the most challenging students. This annual award is given to a strategic mentor that provides outstanding academic support, shows natural leadership and goes “the extra mile” for their students. The qualities for demonstrated for this award are positivity, inspirational, passionate, dedicated and a deep care for their work.
